DSI, as main EPRI contractor completed in July, 2005, the delivery of two major OTS projects in Brazil. The first was with ONS (Independent System Operator), Brasilia and the second was with CHESF, a major transmission company in the northeast of Brazil. The projects involved the following two major accomplishments:
- Integrating the OTS with the SAGE EMS system of both companies. SAGE is a modern SCADA/EMS system developed by CEPEL, Brazil (major national R&D organization). The integration involved interfaces using the ISC/PDC CIM-compliant data base and user interface.
- Training the customers on how to develop, implement and evaluate training scenarios using their own system. This aspect was conducted in cooperation with Dr. Sarah Lutterodt, President, Quality Training Systems.
